The 12th Annual NFRC 5K for Families is a scenic run on paved trails around Lake Kittamaqundi located in Columbia Town Center (near Clyde’s Restaurant). The 1-Mile fun walk is an easy paved walk for all ages around the lake starting at 8:00 AM.

Form your team, or race solo. Winners of different age categories and teams will be announced and awards given.

And, be sure to stay for all of the family fun taking place the rest of the morning until 11:00 AM.

Entertainment, door prizes, children’s crafts, games, face painting will be ongoing starting at 8:30 a.m. Among the goings-on each year: Drama Learning Center performances, b.Funk Dance Company, Kangaroo Kids and more.

New this year, KidzArt will set up some special craft activities for our guests. And, for kids 10 and under, come dressed as your favorite hero or princess (or make your own mask or tiara) for a costume parade at 9:30. Elsa and Anna from Frozen, and Captain Hook from Peter Pan have been known to make appearances.

Once again, you can purchase raffle tickets for your chance to win two luxury suite Ravens home-game tickets, valued at $2000 (and generously donated by KCI Technologies). Your purchase, and all proceeds, help support the programs, outreach and the sliding scale NFRC counseling programs for children and families going through separation, divorce and family transition.
