Going beyond an educational program, this teen group will provide a safe place, where teens meet for 8 weeks and will have an opportunity to see that they are not alone, have a safe place to discuss their concerns and work, with support, to make changes in their lives that can be helpful to them in school, in their family and in their community.

This is a confidential group and parents’ permission will be required to participate. Our therapists will meet with a parent(s) to do an intake and then teens will meet with the therapists prior to the group starting.

POSTPONED, NEW DATE TO BE ANNOUNCED

We live in a world filled with stress. Faith community leaders are dealing with their own and the stresses that their faith members may have. This seminar and training will focus on how stress impacts our physical and psychological well-being, and will present strategies that may be helpful in reducing stress; how to foster resiliency through developing growth mindsets; how to avoid the “traps” of negative thinking and how to use positive other thoughts to help us, as leaders, hold on to hope as we try to make a difference in the lives of others.

Interfaith Collaboration for Wellness in Our Community

Interfaith Collaboration for Wellness in Our Community is a meeting that will take place on March 7, 2023, at 4 PM, at Olive Branch Community Church. We would like to hear from you about the concerns you have for children, teens, and families and what you are doing to help support them. We will also be discussing the programs we have developed for children and teens that address the stress, anxiety, and depression that we have seen increase significantly and share other services our center provides that might be helpful for some of your families. If you are able to, we encourage you to bring a young adult who might be interested in attending this meeting.

Let us know if you or someone from your faith group would like to attend. Please RSVP to ASK@nfrchelp.org and speak with Libby Killo, NFRC Administrative Director, to sign up for our community meeting.
